Optimal Control of Spin and Pseudo-Spin Systems
(Monday, 25 August, 1:30-2:15)
Abstract:
The ability to control the dynamics of spin and pseudo-spin systems is an important prerequisite for a wide range of practical applications, ranging from medical imaging, molecular spectroscopy to quantum information processing. In magnetic resonance, nuclear or electron spins are experimentally manipulated and detected. In this talk I will highlight experimental applications of pulse sequences designed based on optimal control principles.
