Quantum Optics Group 2

Tim Sweeney, Jun Yin, Carey Phelps

This page exists because our professor, Dan Steck, made us make it for PHYS 686,
a class on numerical simulations of quantum optics related systems. This class is at
the University of Oregon, whose reputation in the field of optics is well respected.
The professors in the field here are brilliant, and Dan Steck is among the best.

Now, read our projects and be enlightened
(Open the README files for each problem to learn how to compile the programs and run them yourself!):

Project 1: on numerically integrating ODE's.

Project 1 source code: Problems 1, 2 and 3.

-----------------------

Project 2: on PDE's, with a sweet quantum cooling problem.

Project 2 source code: Problems 1, 2 and 3.

Links to some cool animations for position and momentum

are visible here along with a plot of energy for one very special run.

-----------------------

Project 3: on quantum information control.

Project 3 source code. Read the "README" file to use the programs.
